About the Richland School District
Our district serves the area of Richland Township and Geistown Borough, located in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, which is approximately 25 square miles. The Richland School District focuses on excellence in Academics, Fine Arts, and Athletics.
Over the years, Richland has grown from a rural farm community into a well-defined growth mix of residential housing, light industrial, commercial, and retail sales with an educational system where children can attend kindergarten through college without leaving Richland.
Our commitment to the communities of Richland Township and the Borough of Geistown is to provide the highest quality education possible for every student. We want our students to graduate from our school district with the tools, skills, and talents necessary to lead successful, productive lives that will contribute to a higher standard of action.
The Richland School District has led the region recently and has been the #1 ranked high school in Cambria County for five consecutive years, according to U.S. News and World Report. The Pittsburgh Business Times has also ranked Richland School District #1 in Cambria County for nine consecutive years.
Richland’s success is a direct result of a dedicated Board of Education, administration, teachers, support staff, and supportive parents who believe that “A student is never an interruption of our work ~ he or she is the purpose of our work.”
