Hello, my name is Mrs. Kelly Ford and I am the School Social Worker/Home School Visitor for Richland School District. I grew up in Blair County, PA and attended Frostburg State University in Frostburg, MD. I received my bachelor's degree in Justice Studies and Political Science. Upon graduation from college, I began my career within the child welfare system. I decided to further my education and enrolled in graduate school at The University of Pittsburgh. I received my Master's of Social Work, MSW. I became a Licensed Social Worker, LSW in 2004. I re-enrolled at The University of Pittsburgh in 2009 and obtained my Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Home and School Visitor Certification- Level II. Also, during that time, I received my clinical license in social work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (LCSW).

In 2021, I received my Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Level II Certification as an Educational Specialist- School Social Worker PK-12.

With these unprecedented times in education, I am here to assist families with community agencies and available resources in the area.  I also serve as the district's Homeless Liaison, Foster Care Liaison, and Richland Cyber Academy Liaison.  Please feel free to call or email me with any questions or concerns.  Thank you very much.
