My name is Darla Munko. I am a first grade teacher at Richland Elementary. I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect. An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world.
I formerly resided in Richland Township, but today I live in Geistown Borough. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a waitress, store clerk, bank teller, executive secretary, mortgage loan originator/underwriter, data clerk and daycare worker. All these experiences stressed the importance of being Respectful, Accountable, Motivated, and Safe. I am thrilled to be part of a school district that recognizes the importance of these traits and that strives to help students live by them. I am blessed to help your children learn these skills, along with reading, writing, and arithmetic, in order to achieve their goals.
I look forward working with your children and getting to know all of you this school year!
