Richland TSA Students Win National Championship in Atlanta, GA

The Richland Technology Student Association (TSA) students performed amazingly well at the 2018 National TSA Conference that was held in Atlanta, GA, June 21st-26th.

The students competed against 8000 other students from across the US (also Germany & Turkey) in their STEM events. Representing Richland were: Kassidy Orr, Aditi Sridhar, Katlyn Yeager, Lakyn Costlow, Sarah Fetterman, Eryn McKendree, Rylee Morgan, Emma Richards & Michelle Zheng.
All of the students worked incredibly hard since October on their competitive events. Kassidy Orr, Aditi Sridhar & Katlyn Yeager placed 1st the nation in the On Demand Video event. They competed against 150 other teams in this event. Their national championship video can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yeSm0Tz6uA.

7th graders, Eryn McKendree & Michelle Zheng, placed 3rd in both Biotechnology and Technical Design. These events were extremely competitive. 9th graders, Lakyn Costlow, Rylee Morgan & Emma Richards & Sarah Fetterman did not place in the top 12 in their events but worked extremely hard and their events were exceptional.
