I have loved teaching for over 30 years. I have been a primary teacher for most of my career and love working with children. I believe that children are the best part of teaching. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Outside of school, I live in Richland with my husband. I have two married daughters.  One of them is a teacher too!  I am also a proud grandma!

week of Jan. 22 to 26

Math: we are working on problem solving strategies.  They include change to more, part/part=total and quantitiy/quantity = difference.

Reading/Language Arts  We are finishing up unit 5 and moving to the review of unit 3.  Please check nightly for assignments in agenda. We will be reviewing long vowels, antonyms, verb tense, main idea/details and prefixes.

Math:  We are working on addition and subtraction strategies- especially part/part=total and start to more.

Language Arts/Reading:  We are finishing the story Mr. Putter and Tabby and skills.  Skills include, author's purpose, synonyms, compound words, sequence and verb tenses.

                     Tuesday:  spelling paper on new words
                      Wednesday: vocab paper
                       Thursday: study vocab words
                         Friday: vocab and cold read test

Math: we will be continuing to practice counting money and place value.

Language Arts:  we will be working on the theme of what you see in the sky?  We will read the story Mr. Putter and Tabby.  We will work on the skills of author's purpose, ways to make long o, synonyms and past, present and future tense.

We are working on extra literature stories and Christmas activities.  We will work on the story, Poppleton and making a Christmas book.

Math: We are working on reviewing money and time.
