USDA EXTENDS WAIVERS THAT ALL STUDENTS CAN RECEIVE FREE BREAKFAST/ LUNCH

What this new announcement means for the Richland School District is that effective immediately, ALL of our students (regardless of income), are able to receive free breakfast and lunch on any day that school is in session.  

Here are some specific details regarding how this impacts your child(ren):

 

  • Includes one reimbursable breakfast, one reimbursable lunch. Extras are still at the cost of the student.
  • Remote learners and non-school age students (5 and under) who are interested in receiving meals MUST pre-order with the Richland Food Service at https://bit.ly/RSDlunchprogram no later than 12pm the day before to reserve the meals.  Please note that orders for Mondays should be submitted by noon the Friday before. Pick-up of meals for remote learners and non-school age students will be every day from 10:00 am to 10:35 am at the Elementary cafeteria located at the back of the Richland Elementary School.
  • Meals will be offered Monday through Thursday only.  
  • Students and families will be notified when program funding ends

We encourage families to take advantage of this benefit, provided by the USDA, for ALL students to receive free meals through December 2020.  Our Food Service Team is excited to serve your children healthy and tasty meals this school year.
