As the new school year approaches, we wanted to notify all parents and guardians to advise them of various updates and procedures related to the school district transportation services.
As the new school year approaches, we wanted to notify all parents and guardians that the federal program created during the pandemic which provided free meals (breakfast and lunch) to all school students the past two years has come to an end. During this time, the Richland School District was able to provide a nutritional breakfast and lunch each school day to all enrolled students of the Richland School District at no charge to your household under a waiver provided by the United States Department of Agriculture. This waiver has expired over the summer.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires each school district to prepare and submit a “Comprehensive Plan” as part of long-range future plans. Comprehensive Planning is a process used to ensure that all students are achieving at high levels. The plan will be available for public viewing for 28 days prior to school board approval.
