Policies and Procedures Requiring Annual Notice

Students, Parents, Employees, and the Richland Community,

This semi-annual email shall serve as notice that any Richland School District Board Policy or district procedure requiring annual notice to students, parents, employees, and/or the public will be available on the Richland School District website at www.richlandsd.com.

Please be aware that these items may be updated throughout the school year and represent a portion of all board policies, which can be found at https://richlandsd.com/policies.

The district will post this notice on our website and various social media sites in September and March of each year if any updates occur throughout the school year. In addition, we will also notify our parents and employees via email in September and March of these policies requiring annual notice.

  • Excellent Academic Programs Richland School District has led the four (4) county Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 in academic achievement for two consecutive years in the Pittsburgh Business Times rankings of all 500 public school districts in Pennsylvania.
  • Fiscally Responsible School Board The Richland School District spends less per student than 487 of the 500 Pennsylvania Public School Districts while maintaining strong programs in academics, arts, and athletics.
  • Great Athletics Programs The Richland Rams have historically performed at high levels in individual and team sports. Within the past year, individual and teams have won the conference, district, and state championships.
  • Multiple Fine Arts Opportunities The Richland Performing Arts Center is the proud home of Richland School District's concerts, musicals, special events, and guest performances.
