Hello! I love teaching Kindergarten and creating a classroom atmosphere that promotes thinking, hard work, and thoughtfulness! I strive to nurture the many wonderful aspects of children - asking questions, reading for enjoyment, recognizing feelings, and never giving up!
I am a proud graduate from Richland High School. I then went to the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. After graduation, I accepted a position teaching first grade in the Meyersdale Area School District. The following year, I taught Kindergarten at Cougar Elementary in Manassas Park, Virginia. I then accepted a 4th grade position at Richland Elementary. I moved back to Kindergarten after a year in 4th and have been in this position ever since. I greatly enjoy continuing my education and I obtained my Master's Degree in Literacy with a Reading Specialist Certificate through Clarion University.

Google Classroom
Hi Families!
Online Instruction begins today, April 1st, through our Google Classroom. If you did not receive my email yesterday with instructions, please contact me. If you are having any other issues, please let me know!
Thank you!
Epic Monday!
On Mondays in my classroom, we have "Epic Mondays". The students are challenged to listen to one of the several assigned books about an assigned topic from Epic books on the iPads. They then share what they learned at the end of centers.
This is the link for Epic books. You can try it at home for free for 30 days. This is a great way for students to explore new books while at home.
Students - feel free to share what you learned with me! You can ask your families to help you email me. :) [email protected]
