Hello! My name is Melanie Reefer and I am currently the Kindergarten Learning Support teacher, the Kindergarten and First Grade Autistic Support and Emotional Support teacher and a co-teacher of a First Grade Classroom I share with Mrs. Miller.   I was born and raised in a rural community in Armstrong county and graduated from Elderton High School. I am married to my best friend from high school, Greg,  and I have one son, Zane, who is currently pursuing a degree in Finance at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  I am dual certified in special and elementary education and have earned my Masters of Arts in Community Counseling. I have taught special education for twenty-seven years- twelve at the intermediate level and fifteen at the primary level. I love finding hands-on, kinesthetic activities to help my students master the skills they need to become literate, lifetime learners.
