Our primary resource this year is Everyday Mathematics developed by the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project. The program emphasizes "the use of concrete, real examples, repeated exposures to mathematical concepts and skills, frequent practice of basic computation skills, and the use of multiple methods and problem-solving strategies." The goal is for students to become "powerful mathematical thinkers."
