Pennsylvania Department of Education - Attestation Ensuring Implementation of Mitigation Efforts

By Order of the Pennsylvania Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health, issued November 23, 2020, public school entities in counties with two consecutive weeks of substantial transmission must attest to complying to the following to continue offering any in-person instruction:

The Updated Order of the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health Requiring Universal Face Coverings, including necessary exceptions and associated guidance, and The Recommendations for Pre-K to 12 Schools Following Identification of a Case(s) of COVID-19.

Shift to Remote Instructional Model - Beginning December 1st

Please review the attached letter from Mr. Nadonley regarding a shift to a remote instructional model for all Richland School District students after Thanksgiving break. We are hoping to resume in-person learning and return with a K-12 hybrid instructional model on December 14th.

Richland High School COVID-19 Update - November 22nd

During this past weekend, the school district was made aware that a high school teacher and also a coach of an athletic team at Richland High School have been identified as positive cases for COVID-19.

Elementary School Lunch Program - School Closure

Due to the closing of Richland Elementary during the next two weeks, the students will not have access to school breakfast and lunch in school each day. However, meals will be available for pickup at the school for any family who requests meals.

Students who are interested in receiving meals MUST pre-order with the Richland Food Service at https://bit.ly/RSDlunchprogram no later than 12pm the day before to reserve the meals. Please note that orders for Mondays should be submitted by noon the Friday before. Pick-up of meals for remote learners and non-school age students will be every day from 10:00 am to 10:35 am at the Elementary cafeteria located at the back of the Richland Elementary School. Meals will be offered Monday through Thursday only.
