Hello! My name is Melanie Reefer and I am currently the Second Grade Learning Support Teacher and  a Co-teacher of a First Grade Classroom I share with Mrs. Miller. I have worked in the Richland School District for 29 years and in the Greater Johnstown School District for a year and a half.  I was born and raised in a rural community in Armstrong county and graduated from Elderton High School. I am married to my best friend from high school, Greg, and I have one son, Zane, who is a financial consultant at BNY Mellon.  I am dual certified in special and elementary education and have earned my Masters of Arts in Community Counseling. I have taught special education for 12 years at the intermediate level and 18 at the primary level. I love finding hands-on, kinesthetic activities to help my students master the skills they need to become literate, lifetime learners.
