Welcome to 3rd and 4th grade Learning Support. Below are some classroom procedures.
Classroom reminders:
Students have 2 chances at spelling tests. ** Students will get the better of the two scores.*** If a student does not get 100% on the pre-test, they can take the test the following day. Typically, spelling pre-tests are on Thursdays and tests on Friday (unless a student receives 100% on the pre-test). Vocabulary tests are also on Fridays. Students make and bring home vocabulary cards at the beginning of the week for vocabulary tests. Math and spelling homework completion is apart of students' grades. Please check agendas for any homework that needs to be done. Also, students are encouraged to read at home. Students will have a Reading Log in the "bring back" side of their folder. Anytime the student reads at home, please track the time on the reading log. Students are rewarded in class for time read at home.

Grade 4: Reading/ELA - We got new vocabulary words. Students will read the expository text, Spiders. The story test and vocabulary test will be December 19. Students will learn about all verb tenses.
Math - Students will begin Unit 4: extended multiplication facts, reasonable estimates, partitioning rectangles for multidigit multiplication, converting liquid measures, partial products multiplication, units of mass, money number stories, multidigit multiplication, area, multistep multiplication number stories, multidigit multiplication
Grade 3: Reading/ELA - We got new vocabulary words. Students will read the expository text, Vote!. The story test and vocabulary test will be December 19. Students will learn about all verb tenses.
Math - Students will begin Unit 4: measuring with a ruler, line plots, measures of distance and mass, polygon review, quadrilaterals, perimeter, area, area in word problems, perimeter and area rectilinear figures
