Home

I have loved teaching for over 30 years. I have been a primary teacher for most of my career and love working with children. I believe that children are the best part of teaching. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Outside of school, I live in Richland with my husband. I have two married daughters.  One of them is a teacher too!  I am also a proud grandma!

We are finishing up unit 3 and moving to Story 16 called, Mr. Tanen's Ties.  Spelling pattern is doubling final consonant before adding ed and ing. We are working on pronouns and realistic fiction story.

Due to the In-service, our story will be from tuesday to Tuesday again.  I like it better this way...gives the extra time over the weekend. NOW< IT WILL BE WEDNESDAY TO WEDNESDAY>
Our story will be Officer Buckle and Gloria.  It is about safety.  The new skills include: compound words and oo like book for spelling, abbreviations, and root words.

Lang Arts. Jan. 10 to 14

We are working on a biography of Helen Keller.  Most students find this story very interesting.  We will have spelling pattern of oa and ow, author's purpose and proper nouns.

We are working on number stories.

We are starting a story that will go from Monday to Friday.  It is about schools around the world.  Skills include ee and ea sound, main idea and details, quotation marks and dictionary skills.
